This theme can easily flow from beginning (invitations or save the dates) right through to the ceremony and reception and the end (the dreaded Thank-you cards!).
There are many styles of invites you can do that use the double heart, whether you’re a DIY bride, or ordering from a website. In my opinion, if your creative enough to do so, than DIY. However, if you get frustrated easily, have little time on your hands, are a complete perfectionist or not artistic what so ever, I recommend having them done.
I have to say, I have become obsessed with another blogger. His or Her (ok I admit, I skim the pictures, but don’t read enough to know man or woman! Sorry) work is FANTASTIC! Beautiful and custom work for the looks of it, and the latest entry says a bride from a TV show will be using programs from this company! To me, anything that you would want to air on TV must be good! (Picture displayed is the program shown in the blog under the TV Bride, so I assume this is her!)
Custom invitations, matchbooks, favour tags etc. are a way of making sure you theme is recognized. Sometimes it is slightly more costly, but if you don’t have the artistic talent to patience to do it, its better than buying something from a catalogue. Especially if your one of “those” brides, at least this way you get to say the word custom!
A cheap DIY is to buy a stamp with the 2 hearts on it, and than buy your colour napkins and stamp the hearts on them. This can be quite cute, and don’t need to be perfect since they will be used to clean dirty mouths!
(Sorry for crappy picture)
Ways to incorporate two hearts themes;
§ Invitations
§ Reading at the ceremony of the meaning of the two ring intertwined
§ Cake server set
§ Toasting flutes
§ Napkins (custom with your names and dates on them)
§ Monogram
§ Unity candle
§ Candle holder
§ Picture frame
§ Cake topper
§ Buffet bags (candy, snacks etc.)
This is one of the more elegant themes and I quite enjoy it! How many of you have had a two hearts themed wedding? Any ideas you would like to share?
